My Testimony
I used to think that I didn’t have a testimony. I compared my testimony to others and thought Lord my story wasn’t that bad I wasn’t out here drinking, smoking, or having sex. I thought my story didn’t hold any weight. But that was a lie!
I may not have dealt with those things but I did deal with pornograhpy, comparison, lust, masturbation, profanity, gossiping, envy, an identity rooted in appearance and relationships, perfectionism, fear of rejection, people pleasing, and seeking validation from man. The truth is I was just as lost and a sinner in need of a savior badly. The Lord saw me in the midst of my sin and chose to leave the 99 for me. He saw me at my lowest and all the brokenness in my heart and still chose me. The Lord took what felt like an abandoned heart and knitted it back together. The Lord made Himself known and showed me that there was more to life than the road I was going down, which was a road to destruction.
I think the beautiful thing about it all is that the Lord didn’t just save me but He helped me learn what it’s like to be His child and helped me see what it’s like to be loved by a father constantly.
The Lord has helped me see that even in my mess and filth He still loves me, sees me, adores me, and call me His own.
If I’m being honest my story is still being written and that will continue to be the case until I return home with the Lord.
I can confidently say that I have tasted and seen the goodness of the Lord and I will never return to Egypt! My relationship with the Lord isn’t perfect but my heart is willing. My trust in the Lord is constantly growing and my love for Him continues to deepen.
There is power in your testimony. Don’t compare it to others!💕
Stay rooted and keep growing,
