But that’s a lie.
The Lord wants us to delight in spending time with Him and in His word. It’s important to remember that our relationship with the Lord is not an obligation. And with any relationship, it requires intentionality
Below are 10 solo date ideas with Jesus that will help you enjoy your time with the Lord rather than dreading it.
Paint and worship: Silence the noise of this world and play worship music while painting.
Picnic with the Lord: Take some quiet time at the park reflect on your relationship with the Lord, Journal, and do a Bible study
Walk and talk with Jesus: You can either talk out loud or quietly. The goal is to grow in your communication with the Lord. As you talk, pause and wait for the Lord to respond.
Go out to eat with the Lord: Bring Jesus into your mealtime. No phones and no distractions. It’s just you, Jesus, and your meal.
Take a day trip with the Lord: Explore while remaining connected to Jesus. Take pictures and create a photo album to remember your experience.
Write a letter to God: Reflect on who you’ve become since giving your life to Jesus.
God promises date: Write down promises the Lord has made in His word and pray about them.
Sunset and Jesus: Watch the sunset and list 100 things you’re grateful for.
Flowers and reflection: Buy yourself flowers and reflect on how Jesus sees you.
